logitech USB microphone

doesn't work. Knoppix actually recognizes at as a soundcard.
Is this something that might be curable? Is anyone using a USB microphone?

I would very much doubt if they use some non-conventional protocol than standard USB sound which is supported by both oss and alsa. Just try to load the driver.
