about changing my screen resolution so I dont get over range on my monitor.

The cheat code i have to enter is screen=800x600

But its not working. I type Knoppix screen i hit the equal key but it doesnt show equal it shows screen`800x600

then it doesnt work.

What do I exactly enter?

ok I found out the command it is fb800x600.

But now IM getting this error

No suitable X-server found for your card. What should I do?
