Changing Desktop in Knoppix Terminal Service Client

Hi,
I'm trying to running Knoppix Terminal Service on my lab at campus.
I'm using Pentium 233 MMX , 16 MB of RAM as clients and P4 2 GHz , 512 MB as server.
The client doesn't have enought memory to run KDE as window manager an i'm trying to change the desktop manager using icewm or any small window manager to use at client.
Command like knoppix 2 or knoppix desktop=icewm from boot prompt at knoppix cdrom doesn't work at terminal client.
I'm using Knoppix 3.2 as server.

Assuming you not doing pxe boot.
How about using nxserver and nxclient or thin client that support nx.
http://pxes.sourceforge.net/

Run your server with fluxbox, desktop=fluxbox, and set the nxserver.
Use thin client to boot the terminal.
