Just installed Knoppix and SUSE but my USB modem cannot be detected.

What did you try already to attempt to get it working?
Aztech Dsl 500U use Alcatel chipset.
Maybe you can try use Alcatel speedtouch driver.
Try Kanotix script for speedtouch.

Got the file but how do i use it?
If you asking about the fix scripts i.e. files with a .sh at the end of them just open a shell then sudo or as root do "sh filename.sh" and the script will run.
