When I run KNoppix 3.4 live cd on my laptop. WHen it is booting the laptop freezes when it is loading a file named aic7xxx.o So i have to use Knoppix lang=en Noscsi for load right knoppix on my laptop.

can I install knoppix in my laptop's HD?
Does aic7xxx.o matter?

you must be using the initial 3.4 release, the ones following this fix the problem.
That module is for scsi controller which is certainly almost not present in your laptop so go ahead and install
