When using the KNOPPIX/Configure/soundcard configure menu it reports that a PCI sound card is detected Via Technologies|VT8233 [AC97 Audio Controller but when the test sound is tried it reports

This is my foirst attempt at using linux so I would appreciate some easy to folow advice. (Sound works fine under Windows XP by the way)
