After installing kdeartwork, I found that a lot of the screensavers that don't work by default in Knoppix now work, so I installed xscreensaver and got a bunch more to work. (But some still don't--not sure what package I need to get for them to work.) Problem is, the screen blanks in a few minutes, so the screensaver is a bit moot.
I tried adding "/usr/bin/setterm -blank 0" to /etc/profile, but it didn't have any effect. Anyone know where it can be turned off? Of course, ideally I'd like to turn it off ONLY when KDE starts--leaving it to work if I boot to a console or to work in KDM if I don't log in immediately.
