Save it and open root konsole and run : update-modules

Still in root konsole, run:
depmod -a
modprobe snd-emu10k1
modprobe snd-pcm-oss
modprobe snd-seq-oss

Then run: alsamixer
unmute the card

or run Kmixer

Might only work with a HDinstall.
