Trouble Booting Knoppix

I am new to knoppix so excuse me if I'm asking stupid questions

When I boot knoppix, it just stops doing anything. Everything happens up until " su (pan unix)[336]: session opened for use mail by (uid-0)

at first i thought it was just taking ages but i left it on at night for about 11 hours and nothing happened.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

eeeh, i would check the CD md5sum if i where you. something seems WEIRD (or testcd when you see the boot: line
uid 0 is ROOT, what exactly did you do?
