Some news
i've tried to boot using anotehr machine, and it works.
So, it seems to be a machine-dependant problem.
Strange, as the same laptop was perfectly supported with Knoppix 3.6
I'm posting it here, as bug tracker seems not available.
i was using a Knoppix 3.6 as network OS :
first, starting Knoppix "normally", starting terminal server, getting miniroot.gz and vmlinuz, putting it in a PXEgrub, mouting the ISO of Knoppix, and booting from network the Knoppix 3.6.
Was working perfectly.
As Knoppix 3.7 is available, i've done the same.
But, when i boot from the network, it works, goes to "Autoconfiguring Devices" and then, some lines after, it stop.
Here is what's on the screen from "Autoconfiguring devices" to the "crash" :
The laptop used is a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000Code:Autoconfiguring devices.. [------------------------] Done. What i don't understand is " Network device eth0 detected, DHCP broadcasting for IP (Backgrounding)", as eth0 has already an IP address, and as i launch the kernel with the following :
thanks for your helpCode:title Knoppix kernel (nd)/boot/knoppix-vmlinuz nfsdir=192.168.0.3:/partage/knoppix-cd/ lang=fr vga=792 ramdisk_size=100000 BOOT_IMAGE=knoppix module (nd)/boot/knoppix-miniroot.gz![]()

it's solved, simply by adding nodhcp to the commandline.
