Trying my first remaster with Knoppix 3.6. My system has 512 MB RAM, AMD 3000+ 2.1 GHZ processor, new hard drive with 80gig ext2 partition, 1gig swap partition.

I downloaded the .pdf file "knoppixremastering howto" dated 24 jul 'o4, before the docs section went down.

When I run this command from root shell, I get an error from -exec maybe it should be exclude instead of execute (-exec)?


cd /cdrom/KNOPPIX;find . -size -10000k -type f -exec cp -p --parents {} /mnt/hda1/knx/master/KNOPPIX/ \;

Also, if I just try find . -size -10000k -type f -exec cp -p --parents {} /mnt/hda1/knx/master/KNOPPIX/ \;

ther is a cp error with the --parents option.
