FYI,
There is an engineering specific remaster allready out there. You may find it easier to remaster that one. Why reinvent the wheel? Sorry, I would post the link but the documentation link is down right now.
Hi,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work that Klaus and everyone has put into Knoppix. It's an amazing CD.
We work at the Engineering Dept in the University of Cambridge, and we're wanting to distribute teaching material and also Linux software to our students - most of whom, of course, don't have Linux on their own computers. So creating a customised Knoppix distribution provides a great solution for us.
This project is still very much in development at the moment, but hopefully we'll end up with something that will be of use to other universities as well. We're currently putting together a website ( http://www-mdp.eng.cam.ac.uk ) and the long-term aim will be to have an ISO available for download. If any other universities are interested, then please contact us ( mdp-support eng.cam.ac.uk).
thanks and keep up the great work!

They might need certain software.Originally Posted by robwelch100

Thanks. I've had a look through the list and couldn't see anything obviously engineering based. If anyone else can find a link, then please let us know.Originally Posted by firebyrd10
Were you thinking of Paipix maybe? This looks slightly engineering related. I can't seem to get at their documentation at the moment, but I'll download the CD image and have a look.
