i tried to run it under wine but wine wont run at all

i'm running the knoppix 3.7 cd on a system with Win98se on the hd partition are their any other free win emulators i can try i just want to test diablo under linux to se if it runes any faster (if at all posable ) than in windows let me know if you need any other system specs
