C-Media 8738 soundcard doesnt work

my soundcard, C-Media 8738, doenst work.
i've got that card with 4.1 surround boxes, the strange thing about this is that my brother has the same soundcard+boxes and on his computer there actually is sound..?

already tried/ changed the soundcard configuration, but it doesn't change a bit, there's just no sound coming out of my boxes.

someone with a solution?
