can anyone help me ive got knoppix on one h/d and xp on an other but iam totally confused as to how to install bootloader s/ware
any idiots guides anywere

Basically you have to put lilo bootloader on the primary boot HD. You may find what you need to know in one of links:

I use Bootpart from Winimage.

It is designed for Nooobs.

It will automagically place a line into your boot.ini file after you determine what number your linux partion is. It will do that for you too.

Trust me, my little sister could do this with bootpart.

Let me know how it goes. Point your search engine to it download and install on C:\Bootpart.
