Because the keyboard is not recognized ?

I cannot do the booting with the CD of Knoppix 3.7 because the keyboard is not recognized (connected to USB 1.0 port, the PC is a COMPAQ Presario 1.3 Ghz with 1.5 Gb of RAM) therefore I am not able to select the hardware acceleration.
The same thing was happening with Knoppix 3.3 e 3.4 , once installed he was not seeing the keyboard.

A guess, check in the BIOS that USB keyboard/mouse is enabled. Sorry if this does not work.
