Installing over mandrake and keeping the duel boot system

I just want to get some feedback from anyone that has tried this before. Im running windows XP and Mandrake 10.1. I want to install knoppix over mandrake 10.1 and keep the duel boot system. Before i attempt to install it i would LOVE some feedback.

I have replaced a Mandrake install with a Knoppix install & had no problems, just run the knoppix-installer & tell it you want knoppix to go on the drive mandrake is now on.
