hmmmmmm, assuming BG is a passionate type of person, as all normal people will be, to degrees. Not mistaking anger for passion though.
There was an interesting discussion/lecture on the ABC over here around Xmas, along these lines. The ABC being the national broadcaster (radio), i'm not sure if you have an equivalent over in the States. It was on the profiling of certain personality types. It mainly focused on a type called "The Solistical, narcistic" type, who, when they become socially problematic, can also go by the name of "phsycopathic".
One of the distinguishing features mentioned, was a lack of all normal passion responses. Anger yes, when thwarted, but no real sense of any other deeper feelings ... happiness, disappointment, greed, loneliness etc. All things that require a certain sense, or apprietiation of other people. As they exist externally to themselves. They seemed to operate on a level very similar to that of the classic "four year old" terror. You know what they can be like. They'll stand there, eating a bag of crisps, right in front of a person, completely calm. And one just asks "can i have one" ... to which they just calmly look at you, have another munch, and just say "no", (grin) ... it can be quite funny. But not so much when it remains in later life.
The discussion suggested that these people had a unique outlook, that lent itself to them having a tendency to gravitate to positions of "high" authority, in various social institutions... Business, government and religion.
How many times does a person ask themselves, sometimes. After some completely amazing high level "scam", or outrage, is exposed on a CEO, company board level ... how can they be so incredibly ruthless. It's as though they actually don't give a fsck about anything other than themselves, or they just have no concept ...
So, you maybe being a little bit optermistic there Ms Cuddles ... on your BG description ... assuming the above ABC profile is incorrect in BG's case. hmmmmmmmm, i wonder

The whole "joke" with the M$ code fiasco, was, who really "would" want to look at it?

Good point, especially when it's considered, that all a person needs is a copy of Borland/Inprises CBuilder IDE ... version 4 plus, and they will have a very complete set of Windows APIs' at their disposal. Not the implementation granted, but they will have the interface, by virtue of a nice set of Windows headers. And enough to do the most wonderful havack with too (grin), hyperthetically of course (grin)
hehehee ... and yes, a break is sometimes neccessary.

Assuming your referring to MS ...
m8, if Xerox haven't done it, or it isn't in BSD, or MAC hasn't invented it yet ... i doubt it. Tax heavens and subsidiaries, aka, "which way did it go enterprises" ... even they have already been thought of (grin)
X-Box ... unknown to me ... i do know "Play Station" though, "2" i think. Total !!!
Are you sure X-Box wasn't, um, inspired from there.
Games ... well, Disney are now using Linux in their animation development, iirc. As time goes on, and Linux continues ahead, the curve will start to get steeper, as far as industry acceptance goes. As long as MS can be held in check, in the "dirty deeds" department, the skys the limit. There has been some interesting discussion on the lkml (kerneltraffic.org) concerning rt issues in Linux, during later last year too.
