I've tested Knoppix 3.8.1 and it's absolutely INCREDIBLE!. I've compiled and installed a new program (mplayer), modified KDE preferences and various apps options, added a new background...and only creating a persistent home directory and saving preferences in a 128 mb USB disk, when you reboot it detects ALL automatically! It's like having my own computer in a CD+USB drive everywhere! (That remembers me...I've to buy an 1 GB USB drive )
