booting

right ive sorted my internetconnection,now can anyone help me on why i cant boot with anything other than failsafe?also if i download anything can it be saved and can i save my settings in knoppix?any help will be gratefully recieved.

I have no idea why you can't boot with anything but fail safe...
However, I do know that the default for Knoppix is not to save anything to your hard drive. My solution to that is to send whatever files i want to save as an attachment to myself over the e-mail.
