if i boot knoppix versin 3.7 with 2.4 kernel, system boots up ok, but in kde >> knoppix >> network card configuration it says " No supported net cards found ".

if i boot with 2.6 kernel, it starts detecting hardware and when it gets to >>>>

"network device eth0 detected, DHCP brodcasting for IP ." it stays like this for hours )) crash

what can i do to make it work.

i have a Intel 21143 based PCi Fast ethernet , in windows xp works ok
