Internet Traffic Indicator

Here's a question from my bitter-half.

Why can't you have a little blinking computer icon thingy in the sys tray that indicates when there is network or WWW traffic?

What she is talking about is the picture of two computers "talking" that you find on many Winblow$ boxes. Anyone know of a usless little program for this? I think she likes to waste CPU cycles on fluff - but don't tell her that!

I use
gkrellm, it shows ip, ppp, diskusage, cpu-temp... and a whole load more, just configure it and it wil show a graph of your usage.

I agree with 0Erjan.
Use Start->System->Kpackage to install it.

Gkrellm is uder the X11 category, the very last one.
Be sure you are on the NEW tab (default is the INSTALLED tab)
