Assuming that you want to use more than the limited RAM disk created each bbot, by NOT having only an NTFS partition. I acomplished this by resizing my notebook's NTF partition as soon as I bought it and making the remaining space a FAT partition. Downside: I can have any single files over 4 gig in size (didn't leave enough room on the NTFS partition). Upside: I am able to save files to the FAT partition, compile files there and so on. I used a Partition Magic like tool to do this. Other solutions: Add a second drive to a desktop with one or more FAT partitions. USE a USB flash Drive or an external drive with a FAT partition.

oh, dear... thank you very much for the answer but i'm afraid i didn't understand almost anything
do you think you could give me a more idiotproof and newbie orientated answer, please?
i'll try to make my question possibly simple:
i'm a 100% of a newbie. using knoppix 3.8 (except for that, windows xp). got a half-year old computer.
i have downloaded flash player and mutella and i want to install them.
can i use kpackage/klick/apt and simply install them without having to worry about anything?
