UnderScore, i got the same config, PIII 500Mhz. The CD *was* painfully slow, and so is my hd-install. Is there any way to disable the effects like transparency etc?
Could it be due a a file libcdda not being copied during install? Seems like the cd is spoilt at that part. However the everyting in knoppix is running normally, just painfully slow, to say it in the words of shing.
I got 3.8 Cebit edition, on a 3.5GB native hdd + 300 MB swap.
BTW whats the difference between Kanotix and Knoppix?
