Hello, this has probably been mentioned before, i've searched the forums a little bit but the search terms give too broad results.

Anyways, the scenario is this, A Windows XP computer with 256 MB RAM and 1 DVD Burner. XP is dead and i want to rescue files using DVD Burner.

There is only one partiton and it is NTFS.

Now as i understand it, NTFS Write support requires Captive, and Captive is not available at boot time so tohd will not work.

And the cheatcodes say that bootfrom will allow booting from an NTFS partition since NTFS read support is available.

so my question is:
if i have started knoppix, how do i copy an ISO of the running livecd to the ntfs partition?

I believe i must use mkisofs but i am not sure how.

Another unrelated question is, is it possible to suggest packages for knoppix? and if so, where can i do this?
