I'm running knoppix off of the Live CD, but i would like to install some modules that are not on the CD. I cant seem to do that because /lib/modules is actually a symbolic link to /KNOPPIX/lib/modules which is read only. I'm wondering if there is a way around this.
the reason why i'm trying to do this from the cd...
i work a a place that makes test and measurement devices. theres a particular problem a customer is experiencing with one of our devices, only on linux, but the only test system i have that can reproduce the situation does not have linux installed. So i thought i would pop in the KNOPPIX cd and then install the module for my measurement device and run some tests. ..unfortunately, not quite that easy..
any ideas,
ben
