Converting RPM to DEB

How would i install Limewire on Knoppix? I attempted to via KPackage and it told me to convert the file via Alien.. I have no idea how to do that either..?
Is there an easier way to just download this program as a .deb from the start, or is there a website(s) listing available programs to download already in .deb format

In a command line:
alien --to-deb the-file_1.2.3.rpm
Which will create a DEB file from the RPM file. Then try to use kpackage to install it. Or use dpkg.
dpkg -i the-file_1.2.3.deb

A much better alternative to Limewire: giFT. giFT includes the Limewire Network (gnutella) and openFT. You can also get plugins for the Kazaa network (fasttrack) and Ares.
