I installed VMWAARE, when I try to configure it with vmware-config, I can never get it to work!
I';m using a HD install of knoppix 3.8.1, trying to install vmware 5.0. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Please help me!

Code:

Extracting the sources of the vmmon module.

Building the vmmon module.

Using 2.6.x kernel build system.
make: Entering directory `/tmp/vmware-config11/vmmon-only'
make -C /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.6.11/include/.. SUBDIRS=$PWD SRCROOT=$PWD/. modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernel-headers-2.6.11'
  CC [M] /tmp/vmware-config11/vmmon-only/linux/driver.o
/bin/sh: scripts/basic/fixdep: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [/tmp/vmware-config11/vmmon-only/linux/driver.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [_module_/tmp/vmware-config11/vmmon-only] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kernel-headers-2.6.11'
make: *** [vmmon.ko] Error 2
make: Leaving directory `/tmp/vmware-config11/vmmon-only'
Unable to build the vmmon module.

You might need the full kernel sources. Download them from kernel.org, then go to my linuxtips site for info on how to uncompress them.
