how to add a new user to the kdm menu?
i just added the user with useradd... at the console. but there looks like there is no change for kdm...

Control Centre -> System admin. -> Login manager -> (Admin. mode) -> Users... or something like that?

yes. there is sth like that and the created user can be seen there. but there is nothing to activate the user for kdm or sth like that...

as root type adduser

then enter

type in password

retype password

fillout crap after that and it wshould be sweet

what is that: crap to fillout?
i have done useradd name_of_user -G root
to add the user and give him to the root group.
after i typed the pw 2times...
no more or less...
this was not enough
