Hi, what is fbsplash? I noticed the kernel patch for it on the debian repositories for bootsplash. Also what are the advantages of this over bootsplash? I have bootsplash installed and working, but am concerned that if I install fbsplash it could possibly cause a conflict. Will I need to compile my kernel to support it?

Any input would be appreciated.
