When I log into my Knoppix system via ssh, I have a delay. What can I do to fix this? Here's the output of ssh -v

Welcome to Knoppix (Kernel 2.4.27)
apt-get dist-upgrade
This may be off the mark but I once had a similar problem with long ssh login delays and it was due to a misconfigured DNS. sshd was delaying when it was trying to name lookup the connecting host for its log entry. When you ssh from the server box to itself (i.e. ssh localhost) do you still get this delay?
