alsa autodetection with multiple soundcards

hi, i have an audigy and a yamaha (ymfpci) card in my system, the 04-15-03 iso detects my audigy through alsa as an emu10k1 correctly, but does not ever find the ymfpci card. previously i had nearly the opposite problem -- oss autodetection was recognizing the ymfpci card and alsa was finding the audigy. or at any rate, it was displaying the green text saying Soundcard : Yamaha PCI etc etc, and then the next thing it would be setting up the emu10k1 module for alsa...

??
anyways, now it works great with the audigy but not the ymfpci under alsa

Have you tried modprobe ymfpci The in-kernel ymfpci driver is very similar to the Alsa driver and should work (that is if it's in the kernel). I'm not at my Linux box right now so I can't check.

that will work im sure but ideally i would like to have both devices working through alsa with OSS emulation active...
