Quick Package Removal

I'd like to create a very barebones version of knoppix for use as a router/firewall. I'm debating whether or not to even leave X installed, but my question is about the large number of packages installed. Is there anyway to quickly remove them all? Like a frontend for apt-get or something? Its really time-consuming to have to sit here and type in the name of every package!
