If you had looked through the previous posts, you would have found that "abittner" had thoughtfully provided the links to BOTH the HTTP and the FTP source for the ISO image. Here they are again:
http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/filepilot/...005-DVD-DE.ISO
http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/filepilot/...ystem/knoppix/
ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/filepilot/l...005-DVD-DE.ISO
ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/filepilot/l...ystem/knoppix/
I don't know how fast they might download, but it appears that the files are still available at both the HTTP and FTP links.

Are there any regular CD-ROM ISO's available for 4.0 yet? I'm trying to revive a crashed XP system and only have access to a CD burner at this time.Originally Posted by ckamin

(Note -- pardon the duplicate from the DVD forum. Wasn't sure where the best place to post was!)
Not yet. Just download 3.8.2 or 3.9.
Grabbing 3.9 as we speak. Thanks. Not yet. Just download 3.8.2 or 3.9.
Hello,
I just posted the new minirt_ntfs.gz required to boot Knoppix 4.0
from the ISO DVD being in a NTFS (XP) partition of the HD using grldr (grub).

Hello
I have remastered Knoppix 4.0 on CD
But it contain my some special changes
More about and script for remasering and iso image is here
dont know if this has been asked before or not. but is there any word on an english version???
and if i boot up with the english cheatcode, then save my settings. will it remember to boot in english when i type the myconfig=/mnt/hdc5 command?
In response to the question about an English version posted by litdie:
There is a remastered Non-Official version available on Torrent with QEMU 0.7.0 to enable Autorun under Windows. It appears to work rather well and I do appreciate the eforts to provide this. I spent a few hours working with it and it appears to be about the same as the DE Version booted up with the "Knoppix Lang=US" cheatcode. I'm hooked! It serves well as an interim "Knoppix 4.0 Fix" for this "Knoppix-holic".
There are at least two locations available and it is a long but stable download. It took a half hour or so for the download to ramp up to speed, but it completed in about 12 hours or so from the Mininova link. Both links should work about the same.
The completed DVD will most probably fail the "TestCD" cheatcode upon bootup. The disk has been remastered and modified from it's original format and may show a few errors in that regard.
Look for them Here:

Hope this helps!
First, if you use the "lang=us keyboard=us" cheatcodes, it boots into US English just fine. (When 4.0 "official" comes out, there will be an English version, where you don't have to type those cheatcodes, of course.)Originally Posted by litdie
Second, AFAIK, no, you still have to issue the "lang=us keyboard=us" cheatcodes even with a saved config.
