I just switched from Mandrake to Debian and I installed Debian Sarge on
my computer. All in all it went well, but my sound card was not
detected and my video card was not detected correctly: I have no sound
at all and my monitor only displays 800x600.

When I boot on Knoppix 3.9 the following messages appear:

Soundcard: 5880 AudioPCI driver es=1371
AGP brige detected
Video is Mach64 3D Rage IIC 3D Rage IIC AGP, using Xfree86(ati) Server

How can I transfer the hardware detection info from Knoppix to Sarge
and get the sound and 1024x768 to work?
