I have a Dell 1150 which is a Rebadged Orinoco Gold Wireless PCMCIA card, I saw when booting that it did indeed modprobe the orinoco_cs thing.. but it did not seem to make a connection, because I was not able to access anything. Any suggestions?

You may have to configure the wireless card to your access point's settings...Look under KNOPPIX menu for the WAVELAN configuration tool...pay attention to the 'essid' and 'encryption' settings.
