Linsys 10/100/1000 Nic card cannot detect???

For some reason Kaotix,Suse 9.2 won`t detect my Linksys Nic Card. They also won`t detect my Western Digital Portable usb harddrive. How would I go about setting these items up manually ??? Thanks

for the Linksys network card I think you have to use the tulip driver. I'm not too sure about the harddrive, somebody else should know though.

To troubleshoot the NIC, please post the output of 'lspci'.
