Knoppix boot config

Hey. I'm loving knoppix.. it works great with my computer booting off the CD, but my concern is this. now that i've got my NIC and my video card set up, i want to be able to save the config settings and have it load every time.. is there any way to do this? i've looked through all the FAQs, and tried the home directory thing.. but.. it doesn't seem to be what i'm looking for. anyone? BTW, i'm a newbie to linux.. so.. thanks for dealing with me.

If persistent home isn't what you're looking for then what exactly are you looking for? You can save your settings to the hard drive or a pen drive. You'll need to either use persistent home, remaster your own Knoppix cd or install it to your hard drive- you can dual boot with wimpdoze if you like.
