Get VMware to run *inside* Knoppix?

Some people seem to run Knoppix inside VMware, but I want to do it the other way around. Wouldn't it be great if you could boot Windows from your HD without shutting Knoppix down? I tried to install the free VMware demo from http://vmware-svca.www.conxion.com/s....0-4460.tar.gz and the installation started fine until it wanted to recompile a module using a specific version of GCC. Since I have zero experience with compiling, can anyone help? Perhaps the module can be compiled on a hd-installed Knoppix and then transferred to CD-based Knoppix?

bad idea... VMware will replace all the drivers on your hard drive installwith vmware drivers... and they may not get fixed when you next boot into windows.....


however, there is a .deb for vmware out there, and I believe that the vmware compile error you get can be fixed by exporting a gcc,(dont remember the exact command)
