i have been trying to work this out for 2 months now
running from any live cd of knoppix i have lovely sound
once installed to hd i have none
i am running knx 3.7
sndconfig throws up a message saying 'there is a current in modules.conf edit modutils'
when i try to run xmms i get a message saying that /dev/dsp is busy or being used by another app

lsmod does show that there are two applications using audio

please can some kind sole tell me what to do/ask for more info to help this situation
