Boot Linux with old BIOS

i have an old version of bios, it came stock with this proteva, im running on now, you know the whold ordeal heh, im runnin on a landfill with 64mb of ram on a GenuineIntel Celeron Processor. Im sure you get the point, its an old version of Bios...I cant seem to run knoppix, i can boot to knoppix and let it setup, but somthing is wrong during setup, it interupts saying its timed out because it took to long IDKWTF(acronym) help me out

I've run on far older. You likely just need to find the right Cheat Codes for your system.
