I don't see how it is going to work. Windows _needs_ to recognize the controller & then needs (if necessary) to load the controller's driver.
IS there a way i can use Knoppic CD to boot windows. Basically my bio doesn't recognize the promise ATA100 controller.
The KNoppix CD does contain the drivers and is able to mount my ata100 drive connected to ATA100 controller.
All i want is to somehow use the CD with included drivers and tell it to start windows instead of starting Knoppix.

this is actually the same problem i'm having with knoppix or ubuntu. after install i can't boot em cause grub doesn't know of the controller. Only way it works is for me to connect them to an slow ata33 bus. which makes my comp extremely slow.
I can install it cause the knoppic CD has the drivers but once its installed there is no way for me to boot it.
So its not just windows, its any OS installed under my ata100 controller.
