Hardware modem here..
Hello I have a hardware modem I got it set up in Mandrak right now but i can't seem to get it to work in Knoppix every time i think its going to work it say modem busy..

Which modem do you have? There are external, serial hardware modems, ISA and PCI hardware modems, and there are pseudo-hardware modems - intel536ep, for example, some manufacturer and vendor call "hardware". Yes - there is a word "hardware" on the box, and this is not true. Maybe you got driver on Mandriva CD's and it works, but Knoppix don't have drivers.
