is there a script for auto probing correct settings for tcp/ip for linux? i'm sure there is just can't find it.
11001 Hostname not found (DNS authoritative). This error may indicate an improperly spelled hostname, or a hostname that is not known to your name server.
11002 Hostname not found (non-authoritative name resolution). This error may indicate that your name server is down.
i am exposed to several different network environments. so hostname recognizable by dns server may be different from one server to another. is this anything to do with hostname of my local machine??? of course, it won't be recognized by all servers???
