Halöle erstmal!

Auf meinem IBM Laptop T30 kann ich die Orginalauflösung (1400x1050) nicht verwenden, da sich dann immer der Bildschirm teilt. Zudem sind die Schriftarten teils nicht gut geglättet und daher ziemlich unleserlich.

Nun denn, habe mich mal hier schlau gemacht:

Grundsätzlich spielt ja die Wiederholfrequenz bei einem LCD keine Rolle aber ich habe trotzdem mal die Werte von dem obigen Link übernommen (ist zwar eben für Redhat ausgelegt aber das geht ja fast einher).

So nun hat das leider nicht funktioniert, wäre ja auch ein wenig zu einfach gewesen. Es sieht für mich so aus als ob die Grafikkarte gar nicht richtig erkannt wurde. Der nächste Schritt wäre dann die ATI-Treiber zu installieren oder kann mir jemand da ein wenig Schützenhilfe geben?
