AC97' doesn't work after hd install!

I have installed knoppix to hd;
my sound card is AC97'
and it works normally when using knoppix on cd.
but after install to hd,it didn't work,
can you help me how to fix it?

Run KMix once, and the symbol should appear (K symbol --> Multimedia -- > KMix). You can also control the output of your soundcard with KMix.

yes,but i have tryed it and it remains.it show a message box:can work but no sound out.
it seems a file is not configured correctly?
