Sorry for touching this topic again, but I've found to much information on this subject but not one final answer on how to boot from a ISO file set on a reiserfs partition.

I've mounted the ISO, copied the boot folder to / (boot.knoppix) and then copied the iso to /. This is how my grub entry looks like:

title KNOPPIX From ISO
#root (hd0,0)
kernel (hd0,0)/boot.knoppix/linux fromhd=/dev/hda1 bootfrom=/dev/hda1/k*.iso lang=us alsa keyboard=pt
initrd (hd0,0)/boot.knoppix/minirt.gz
