Problems with Toshiba Tecra S2 and PCMCIA

Hello all together,

I have a problem with booting knoppix (and all other live distris based on knoppix like auditor). Shortly after booting I get the message

Code:

PCMCIA found, load CardMgr

and the maschine hangs.

After adding "nopcmcia" to the boot options it works fine. As any one an idea, why this happens?

i also had the same problem... i have a toshiba tecra 8000 (please dont laugh)... and same thing happened...

you can disable it though... at the boot screen press F2 for the cheat code... sorry forgot the code meslef...
