Trying to pull data off my SATA drive to my IDE..

Could someone please point me in the right direction to knoppix SATA detection. I have the hd plugged in SATA2 and knoppix can't auto detect it. Is there a driver that I have to run like I have to do sk98lin for my ASUS k8v motherboard in order to get the internet?

Firsyt of all is this the only sata drive you have? Secoundly If it is thaern you need to put it on the sata1 slot on yoiur mother board and/or controller card. Then boot and the bios should auto detect the new drive. Once that hapens windows should boot like normal and after you boot windows the addnew hardware wizard should automatily popup and say Iit found a new hatrd ware device finish the addnew hardware wizard and then left clicl on my computer and from the popup menu select manage and then select storage devices and select the partiton you wish to change, resize or remove from the list of drives
