Knoppix DVD version 4.0.1 still has a very old version of the ATI radeon driver (version 6.5.5) - the current one at ATI is 8.16.20.
The 6.5.5 version does not support any of the X series cards (X800, X850, X700, X600, X300).
Unfortunately this makes Knoppix unusable on my system (with an X800XT and a 1280x1024 LCD screen)
